Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Manager to join our team and oversee the design, implementation, and management of our organization’s network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure network performance, security, and scalability while leading a team and collaborating with stakeholders to align network strategies with business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Network Design and Implementation: Lead the design, deployment, and management of the organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of network systems to meet business needs.
- Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance using tools to identify and resolve issues proactively. Oversee troubleshooting of complex network problems, minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to network security.
- Vendor and Asset Management: Oversee vendor relationships, including procurement of networking equipment and services. Manage network inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources and budget adherence.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Manage and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support. Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to align network strategies with organizational goals.
- Project Management: Plan and execute network-related projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives. Provide accurate time and resource estimates for projects and tasks.
Job Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.). In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS) and technologies (VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN). Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios). Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of network security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control. Knowledge of compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, GDPR, or ISO 27001. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible) for network management.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and departments.
Skill & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or management, with a strong track record of handling enterprise-level networks.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and automation tools.
- CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment with familiarity in using Jira and Confluence.
